The new Better Regulation Communication is set to reshape how EU laws are made – potentially embedding emergency-style shortcuts introduced in recent omnibus packages into the Commission’s standard rulemaking process. This could mean reduced public consultation, fewer impact assessments, and greater discretion over when evidence and scrutiny are applied.

What does this shift mean in practice for democratic accountability, sustainability, and long-term policymaking? And how can civil society respond?

Join this webinar hosted by The Good Lobby to unpack the new “Toolbox,” assess what is at stake, and explore strategies to resist harmful deregulation trends.

This webinar is part of The Good Lobby’s Deregulation Monitor, tracking the EU’s deregulatory agenda and its implications for transparency, accountability, and evidence-based policymaking.
