The Good Lobby Profs is one of the cosignatories to an open letter urging the French government to join the European Commission’s infringement case regarding Orbán’s Kremlin-inspired foreign agents’ law.
This lawsuit is pending before the Court of Justice of the EU and is known as Case C-829/24. EU Member States have until 27 February to join this case and make it clear that they will not tolerate a law which aims to harass civil society, independent journalism, and opposition parties under the pretext of safeguarding Hungary’s sovereignty while the country continues its descent into authoritarianism.
